We fully appreciate that for most organisations, choosing a new business system is a difficult decision. Choosing a system which is a good fit for the organisation's requirements will bring huge benefits, but the wrong decision can potentially be catastrophic.
Since M4 Systems always looks to develop excellent long-term relationships
with all of our customers, we are careful to only propose solutions when we are
confident that they are a good fit to the requirements.
For us the sales process is a consultative, education process during which we try to gain as much understanding as possible of the
prospect's environment and requirements - both immediate and foreseeable future requirements.
In our experience an essential part of this education process is to have an initial face to face meeting. This is meeting is free of any charge or obligation and is totally confidential.
Typically most organisations will purchase major systems quite rarely (every 5 to 10 years).
We implement new systems on a weekly basis. Most of the prospects we meet therefore find this initial meeting very valuable, since they can learn from our extensive experience and from our wide knowledge of modern business technology in general even if our relationship does not progress beyond this initial meeting.

The document is intended for several audiences and to cover all major issues up front so that realistic expectations are set this helps prevent misunderstandings and supports our goal of an excellent long-term relationship with all of our customers.
Presentation and Demo
Typically following the proposal stage, we will prepare for a presentation and demo of the proposed software.
The software may be tailored to some extent, audiences do need to appreciate however that it will be quite generic, since it would not be practical for us to highly reconfigure the software for every presentation.
Up to and including this stage - our services are typically free of charge naturally because our resources are limited, we are sometimes restricted as to who we are able to provide presentations to. One courtesy we would ask from prospects to whom we present, is that they try their best to get ALL key personal that may be impacted by the proposed system to attend. Also we typically need 3 to 5 hours for such presentations, this may seem a long time but we feel that for such systems, which whole organisations may have to live with for 5 to 10 years, such an investment of time is essential.
To help ensure a valuable and relevant presentation, it helps if we can obtain scenarios the prospect would like to see, a week in advance. Also the more interactive the sessions are the better.
