Vision

This is a third-party reporting add-on suite to Dynamics GP, which helps you generate and distribute reports using data stored in the back-end solution, irrespective of whether data are mined from a single source or from multiple sources. Front-end data presentation is through Excel, Word or a Web environment. A familiar architecture means that it is easy to learn and use as well as fast to deploy. Data links are dynamic, so that business users always see one version of the truth which is accurate and up to date. The software features built-in analytics, which means patterns and trends can be plotted and any problems or opportunities spotted as and when they arise.

Other features include automated exception reporting (task scheduling), intuitive dashboards, versatile Word report creation (for management or statutory reports) with chart/table drag and drop, mail-merge functions; and secure access and system control based on Dynamics GP user privileges.

Vision XLenables the creation of beautiful looking, powerful, live data management reports directly within Microsoft Excel. Vision XL links to numerous modules in the GP system: General Ledger, Receivables, Payables, SOP, POP and Project Accounting. All necessary relationships between tables in Dynamics GP are predefined. This module uses easy to understand English field names and syntax with point and click lookups to enable non-technical users to effectively analyse data.

Vision XL functions provide a dynamic link between Microsoft Excel and your GP (SQL) database with the following features:

• Macro Builder enabling the automation of Vision XL functions

Vision Word allows you to create monthly, management or statutory reports or letters, such as debtor collection letters, directly in Word. The use of Word allows you to plug in charts and tables of live data from the GP system and present with highly formatted narrative content. A mail-merge facility lets you distribute paper reports.

Vision Alert is an easy-to-use, highly flexible means of automating reporting tasks on an event or time-driven basis. It allows you to create business alerts related to conditions defined against Vision reports. It's an extremely useful management tool allowing managers to be alerted to events immediately, thus prompting action before it is too late. As many reporting tasks as required can be created and an Alert triggered to generate one or more predetermined responses, such as printing a report, distributing the report via e-mail or outputting it to html, pdf or Microsoft Excel.

Vision Executive Vision Executive gives you the ability to create management reports and summaries for executive use. Analytic capabilities include full drill-down, expand, breakout and cube analysis. Analysis paths and reports can be retained to give a full history and to execute quick updates.
