Gartner eProcurement Best of Breed Report June 2009

Gartner has just published the report ‘Critical Capabilities for Best-of-Breed e-Procurement Vendors' which evaluates 14 of the world’s best-of-breed eProcurement vendors; amongst them Ariba, Basware, Coupa, Ketera, PurchasingNet, Elcom and PROACTIS. In the report, PROACTIS is ranked higher (overall) than any other vendor and more specifically Gartner rates the solution:
-
• Highest in terms of overall functionality
-
• Highest in the “unified purchasing/e-procurement application” usage scenario
-
• Top 5 or higher in all four usage scenarios (shared service, public-sector implementation, purchasing module extension, and unified purchasing/e-procurement solution)
-
• Excellent in terms of product viability.
Key findings of the report indicate that current economic conditions are driving a marked increase in demand for eProcurement solutions, because these provide an effective means to reduce costs – in the short term to slow down or redirect spend and in the long term to improve compliance with strategic sourcing agreements.
M4 Systems is now an approved reseller of PROACTIS software. We have chosen to partner with PROACTIS because it can be seamlessly and effectively integrated with our existing customers’ Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems to harness better spend control and not least because of its status (as endorsed by Gartner) as one of the world’s leaders in the field of eProcurement, with over 300 successful Spend Control implementations.
