Simplified ERP Pricing Structure Implemented by Microsoft

In August 2006 a new pricing structure under the term Business Ready Licensing (BRL) came into force for the Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite of products which includes Dynamics GP. The new pricing model is based on the number of concurrent users and marks a dramatic shift away from the previous module-based pricing structure. The primary aims of the switch are to simplify, to lower the entry barrier and to add value to the licensing program.

The new scheme is available initially only to new customers, but will be rolled out in January 2007 to existing licence-holders.

There are three editions to the new BRL scheme: Business Essentials, Advanced Management and Advanced Management Enterprise, whereby M4 Systems will primarily be using the first two which are targeted at the small business up to the upper mid-market segment.

The Business Essentials Edition is an integrated financial and supply chain management solution which is designed for businesses that need a core financial management and trade solution that can be scaled as their business grows.

The Advanced Management Edition is the preferred solution for customers who need complex, highly functional financial and accounting programs and who are looking for an adaptive solution to manage advanced processes for their financials, supply chain management, manufacturing and project accounting needs. It also helps them obtain the key business intelligence and reporting functionality required to manage their organisation.

Software licences start from under £1,200 and £2,000 respectively for the Dynamics GP Business Essentials and Advanced Management editions.
