Case Study - FIA Foundation

The FIA Foundation for the Automobile and Society was established earlier this century as a UK charity with an endowment of $300 million from the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) – the governing body of world motor sport.

The objectives of the charity are to promote public health/safety and to protect the environment particularly with regard to motor vehicles, motor sport and other road users. To achieve these aims the Foundation conducts its own research and provides grants to third parties.
