Microsoft Commitment
Microsoft sees Dynamics (Business Solutions Division) as one of the main drivers of their growth.
Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer have publicly stated on numerous occasions the commitment of Microsoft towards business applications and how they believe that manufacturing software which improves
business productivity is the most interesting and lucrative challenge for Microsoft as a company over the next few years.
This commitment is backed by hard cash. Microsoft has been investing over 30%
of their total R&D (US$2 billion out of US$6.5 billion) into Business Solutions
- quite a dramatic figure if one considers that at the beginning of this period Business Solutions only represented 2% of their total turnover.
In 2007 Microsoft will be increasing their R&D to US$ 8 billion
