Microsoft Dynamics AX - Licensing

Microsoft Dynamics AX provides customers with the flexibility to licence the solution based on how their users will use and derive value from it at a competitive price.

Microsoft Dynamics AX Public Cloud

The Dynamics AX Public Cloud per user per month model is easy to understand and is inclusive of infrastructure. There are three levels of User Subscription Licences (USLs) – Enterprise, Task and Self Serve – and one Device USL. You have the ability to mix and match these licences within a deployment.
As you progress from the lowest level USL (Self Serve) to the highest level (Enterprise), the user is licenced to use the solution in ways that will provide more value. Customers therefore have the flexibility to decide which level of investment to make for any given individual based upon the functions that user is performing on behalf of the organisation.

Microsoft Dynamics AX licensing purchase options

Enterprise Agreement (EA). The best licensing programme for commercial and government organisations that want to standardise IT across the enterprise, yet retain the flexibility to choose from on-premise and cloud services.
This licence is appropriate for organisations with more than 250 PC’s, devices and/or users. The EA includes attractive volume pricing, the flexibility to transition to cloud services at your own pace and simplified licence management with a single company-wide agreement.
Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS). An option under the EA that provides a lower initial cost based on a three-year subscription, the ability to increase or decrease subscription counts on an annual basis, and non-perpetual licences that end with your subscription term.
Enrolment for Education Solutions under Campus and School Agreement (CASA+EES). A subscription licencing programme available to both primary/secondary and higher education, the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) offers the simplicity of counting people instead of PCs/devices. CASA+EES is for institutions with 1,000 or more full-time employees or students.
Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Programme. A managed service offer intended for SMB and CTM customers who want to outsource the deployment, management and support of their online services to a partner.
