Why Dynamics ?

Introduction

Dynamics is the brand name for the Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management Business Applications within the Microsoft Business Solutions Division.

This division was started by the acquisition of Great Plains in April 2001.

For Microsoft, Dynamics is their next engine of growth, having already been extremely successful with 3 huge divisions: Windows Clients (Client Operating Systems now mature), Office (Personal Productivity now mature) Windows Servers (Business Operating Systems still growing fast). Microsoft believes that their Dynamics (Business Solutions early stages and growing very rapidly) - will grow exponentially over the next few years and also drive growth of their other divisions, especially Servers.
